Description

3 Magdalen Place in Dundee is a villa built in 1840 by George Mathewson. It is two stories tall with a basement and features three bays. The exterior is made of coursed rubble with ashlar margins, although the ashlar is now covered with cement render. The central entrance has a pilastered doorpiece and is accessed by steps. There is a cill band at the first floor level. The windows are sash and case style with four-pane glazing, including one leaded light. The villa has gable end stacks and a piended slate roof. The property is enclosed by low boundary walls.
