Description

Circa 1825. 2-storey 3-bay villa, ashlar front, rubble-built

sides, enlarged 1911 by James Findlay (roof raised and

W wing added).

Central Roman Doric portico enclosing round arched doorway.

Ground floor windows in architrave and cornice. Band course.

1st floor windows in margins. Cornice, blocking course

heightened 1911. Piended platformed roof with 4 dormers.

Single-storey wing added to left, 1911, single margined

blocking course.

Rubble-built side elevations, varied fenestration, some

later windows inserted, gable end stacks and dormer window.

Interior substantially altered. A little plasterwork and

Victorian wallpaper survives.
