The WRENN listed building consent (LBC) database

879,128 listed building consent applications dating back to 2005, sourced from Andrew Speakman’s superb UK PlanIt API and updated three times daily. Each application has been enriched with the type of physical work involved — windows, solar panels, roofing, pointing, extensions, demolition etc. — so you can filter by what was being done to the building fabric.

Most applications are matched to individual listed buildings, so where available each building page shows its full consent history alongside energy performance, price history and environmental risk data.

The LBC Search Engine gives you structured filters across all applications. Create a free account to use the search tool. No marketing, just polls etc.

Graphs & Charts takes natural language questions — try “What % of LBC applications relate to heat pumps over time” or “Approval rates by LPA”.
