Description

This is a road sign located at the junction with Fore Street in Winsham, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and is now mounted on a low concrete post. The sign features a plate with lipped edges and chamfered leading corners, displaying the names 'Crewkerne/Waylord'. It does not provide any mileages. This sign represents an early design pattern, with only a few examples remaining, all found in the small area south of Crewkerne.
