Description
This direction sign, located about 15 metres south of Mill House, is likely from the late 19th century. It features a concrete post with a cast iron arm. The sign follows a pre-Somerset County Council design and has a rectangular plate with lipped edges and chamfered corners at the outer ends. The plate displays the word 'WAYFORD' in cast Roman lettering, with the thick and thin strokes of the letters W, A, and Y reversed. This sign is of curiosity value and holds group value with the nearby parish boundary marker and milestone.
