Description

A memorial commemorating the men of the parish of Wayford who served their country in the First World War (1914-1918). The 3m high memorial, constructed in stone, consists of a Latin cross set on an octagonal column with a three tiered octagonal base. One of the faces of the top tier of the base is inscribed, reading: NOT UNTO US, O LORD, NOT UNTO US, BUT UNTO THY NAME GIVE WE THE PRAISE. 1914-1918
