Description

The Wayford War Memorial is a stone structure that honors the men of the parish of Wayford who served in the First World War from 1914 to 1918. Standing at 3 meters high, the memorial features a Latin cross atop an octagonal column, which is supported by a three-tiered octagonal base. One face of the top tier of the base is inscribed with the words: "NOT UNTO US, O LORD, NOT UNTO US, BUT UNTO THY NAME GIVE WE THE PRAISE. 1914-1918."
