Description
Mill House, likely built in 1864, is a two-story, late villa-style dwelling. It is constructed primarily from ham stone, with some ashlar dressings, and has a hipped roof of Welsh slate, with rendered chimney stacks. The house has a plinth and features four-pane sash windows in simple ashlar surrounds. A lower bay to the right features a 19th-century part-glazed door within a moulded architrave, sheltered by an open stone porch with Doric stone columns and pilasters, a plain entablature, and a flat roof. The side elevations are similar in design. The interior remains unexamined. The building is listed primarily for its group value and association with Clapton Mill.
