Description
Mynydd Moel is a semi-detached cottage dating from the 16th century, which has been significantly altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of local stone rubble and features a thatched roof with thin coping on the west gable, extending to the east, and a brick chimney stack at one end. The cottage is two storeys high and has two bays. The windows are small pane casements, with two lights in the first bay and three lights in the second bay. There is a boarded door set in a recess between the bays, and the lower openings have gauged stone flat arches with keystones. The interior has been much modified, but the party wall with Lullingstone to the east is timber framed. Originally, the roof featured a jointed cruck truss, as noted in an unpublished report from 1975.
