Description

This is a road sign located at the junction with Pye Lane in Leigh, dating from the late 19th century. It features a cast iron plate mounted on a short concrete post. The plate has a lipped edge with chamfered pointing corners and displays the name 'Thorncombe'. This sign is one of the few surviving examples of this old-pattern type in the Crewkerne area.
