Description

WINSHAM CP WHATLEY CROSS ST30NE Dairy Cottage 4/79 - GV II

Detached cottage. Probabley C18. Local stone rubble, colourwashed on front; thatched roof with plain gable to west, half-hip to east; one brick and one stone end chimney stacks. Two storeys, 3 bays. Horizontal -bar casement windows of 3 lights, the ground floor windows having timber lintels; to lower central bay a boarded door in recess under timber lintels. Plain west sable; C20 window and added projecting chimney stack on east gable outshut to rear, and C20 extension to north-west corner with double-Roman clay tiled roof. Interior not seen.
