Description
Thatchcroft is a detached cottage, likely dating from the 18th century, with modifications made in the 20th century. It is constructed from ham stone rubble and features a thatched roof with a stepped coped gable on the west side, while the east side is plain. The building has brick chimney stacks and is a single-storey structure with attics, consisting of three bays. The windows are 20th-century small-pane casements with timber lintels, and the upper window in the second bay is tucked under the thatch. There are signs of a blocked doorway between the first and second bays, while the current entrance, located between the second and third bays, has a boarded door set beneath a timber-framed conical thatched hood. Additional casement windows are present in the west gable, and there is an outshut at the rear. The interior has not been seen.
