Description
Lyndene is a semi-detached cottage, possibly dating from the 17th century. It is constructed from roughly cut and squared ham stone with ashlar dressings and features a thatched roof. The roof has a coped gable on the north side and is plain on the south side, with a brick chimney stack. The building is positioned at right angles to the road and is a single-storey structure with an attic and a single bay.
The cottage has hollow-chamfered mullioned windows set in wave-mould recesses, with a 3-light window on the east elevation and a 2-light attic window in the north gable. Both windows have labels and internal vertical iron bars, while the attic window is rectangular and leaded. To the left of the east window, there is a doorway that is masked by a 20th-century stone and pantiled porch, which includes a window and a fully-glazed door. Additionally, there is a circular window at the north end of the west outshut, along with a further 20th-century extension on that side. The interior has not been seen.
