Description
The Little Cottage is a detached cottage, likely dating from the 18th century with a 20th-century extension. It is constructed of ham stone rubble with a thatched roof, the gables being rendered and colourwashed, plain to the west and half-hipped to the east. The cottage has brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has two bays. The windows are horizontal-bar casements of two lights, with one window in the lower bay one having three small panes and an exposed timber lintel. A boarded door is set in a deep recess between the bays. A lean-to with a pantiled roof abuts the west gable, containing a 20th-century casement window set within a partly-blocked former doorway. The interior was not inspected. The cottage is included on the list principally to contribute to the group value of the surrounding buildings.
