Description
The west and south boundary walls and railings to Knapp Cottage date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from Ham stone ashlar and feature cast iron railings. The walls are approximately one metre high, topped with chamfered coping and crowned with railings that have an interwoven circle motif. In the southwest corner of the south wall, there are square gate piers with moulded plinths and caps, and between them stands a gate adorned with cast iron acanthus spikes. There is a simpler gate opposite the west doorway. These features contribute to the setting of Knapp House and enhance the overall streetscape.
