Description

Mountswood is a large Gothic villa built in the mid-19th century, located on Trull Road at the corner with Haines Hill. The villa features a prominent central gabled section that projects forward, constructed from pale red brick with slate roofs. It is two storeys high and has smaller gables on both the left and right sides. The gables are adorned with openwork cusped bargeboards and pendants at their apex. A stringcourse runs along the building, and there is a central canted bay with five lights on each storey, topped with cusped hoods. To the left, there is a doorway in a porch that includes an openwork balcony.
