Description

23 and 25 Haines Hill is a large, mid-19th century classical house situated on a corner plot with Middleway. The front facing Haines Hill is two stories high and features twin pedimented gables with oculi windows. The exterior is roughcast and the roof is slate covered. Plain corner pilasters are present. The building has four windows on the Haines Hill front, each with architrave surrounds. Cornices are supported by consoles beneath the ground floor windows. The windows are single-light in the centre and triple-light on either side. Ground floor windows are each accompanied by trellised verandahs. The windows contain casements with glazing bars. Entrances are located in the side elevations. The listed buildings in Haines Hill are considered to form a group.
