Description
Nos 7 and 9 are large Gothic houses from the mid-19th century, set back from the road. They are two storeys tall with attics and feature gabled wings that extend forward on each side. The exterior is roughcast, and the roofs are slate with curved and fretted bargeboards. There are large brick chimney stacks set at an angle. The left gable has a cusped oculus, while the right gable displays a blind foiled triangle. The building has three windows, with the central window on the first floor topped by a small hipped roof. The windows have two and three lights, all featuring Gothic tops and glazing bars, and are adorned with rectangular dripmoulds. On the ground floor to the left, there is a large canted bay with a cusped hood. Additionally, there is a blocked pointed doorway to the left. The listed buildings in Haines Hill form a group.
