Description
The Dell is a Gothic-style villa built around 1850-1860. It is two storeys high and constructed from stone rubble with quoins. The garden front features two gables above two first-floor windows, with the right window being much broader and adorned with pierced bargeboards. The ground floor has wood casements and French windows. A glazed tent roof covers the verandah, which is supported by slender octagonal columns. The west wing is set back and includes two bargeboard gabled semi-dormers, a large rectangular bay window with mullions under a hipped roof on the ground floor, and a corner entrance at the angle. The east side of the villa has a gable on the right-hand side, and the doorway features a drip moulding with a four-centred arch over a fanlight.
