Description

East Town Farmhouse is a building that originally served as a mill and house, and is now solely a house. It is dated with raised lettering on a central door lintel that reads "17 FJS 47". The structure is made of coursed and squared rubble, with some dressed quoins, and features a double Roman tile roof with coped verges. There are end ashlar stacks with moulded caps and a central rendered stack.

The garden frontage is three storeys high and has a layout of 2:2 bays. It includes 2 and 3-light ovolo moulded stone mullioned windows that are set under stopped labels, except for those on the second floor, which are directly under the eaves; the central window is blocked. One window has leaded lights and an iron quadrant. The left bay on the first floor has a 12-pane flush mounted sash window, while the ground floor features a 4-light casement. The right bay on the first floor also has a 12-pane flush mounted sash window, and the ground floor has a large 9-pane sash window, all with wooden lintels.

The door opening to the second bay has a bead moulded dressed stone surround and a moulded slab hood supported by scrolled brackets, leading to a 19th-century half-glazed door. Inside, there is a broad open fireplace with chamfered stone jambs and a broad wooden bressumer.
