Description

Gates, gate piers, and flanking walls at the driveway entrance to Springfield date from the early 19th century. They feature paired panelled ashlar piers topped with moulded caps and decorative wrought and cast-iron gates. Each side has a curved ashlar wall with a coping, and there is a low ashlar pier at each end that matches the overall style.
