Description
The Gable House is a 17th-century house constructed from coursed and squared rubble with coped verges and three 19th-century brick ridge stacks. It features a triple Roman tile roof and is two storeys high with attics, characterized by two front-facing gables that have copings and ball finials. The building has two bays and includes two and four-light ovolo moulded stone mullioned windows, each light fitted with a 19th-century casement. To the right of the front, there is a door opening framed by a moulded dressed stone surround with a four-centred head and a stopped label, leading to a 20th-century half-glazed door. A two-storey lean-to is situated to the right of the main frontage, featuring three-light casements on each floor. The left side of the house has three bays, predominantly displaying two-light moulded stone-mullioned windows.
