Description
Yew Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated "17 IK 86" on an inscribed stone plaque at the center of its front. It features modern roughcast and a double Roman tile roof with coped verges and end brick stacks. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has two bays. It includes flush-mounted 16-pane sash windows and a central 6-panelled door, with the top two panels being glazed. A sundial is located at the center of the frontage. To the right, there is a single bay outshut of lower height with a triple Roman tile roof, two-light casements, and a door opening with a plank door. There is also a shop front from the 19th century on its right return, consisting of six lights and a plank door. A rubble wall, approximately one meter high, extends at a right angle to the right of the frontage for 20 meters. Adjacent to the house are paired wrought and cast-iron gates with spear capping, supported by "slab" piers.
