Description
The Grange is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with early 19th century extensions and alterations. It is constructed of coursed rubble with rough cast rendering on the front and has a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high and features five first floor windows that are irregularly spaced. The entrance, located to the right of the central window, has a 20th century plank door beneath a hood-mould. All windows are 4-pane sashes set in flush wood architraves. The left side has ashlar coping with a shaped kneeler and a ball finial. There is a hipped roof to the right, with end stacks and another stack to the left of the centre. The left return showcases the original 17th century gable wall, which includes a square, chamfered window at first floor level and a blocked 3-light double-chamfered stone mullion window in the gable.
