Description
The gates and gate piers at Broom Lodge date from the early to mid 19th century and are constructed from ashlar. They are located at the entrance to the driveway that leads to the former stable and coach-house block. The design features a pair of tall square outer piers topped with block pediments. Curved approach walls with cornices lead towards the driveway, meeting the gate piers, which have square, panelled designs and low pyramidal tops. The entrance is completed by double wrought iron gates that open back.
