Description

The gatepiers at Closeburn Castle date from the early 19th century and consist of four corniced octagonal structures located at the junction of the driveway. They are made of red ashlar stone and include two large inner piers that lead to the carriageway, along with smaller outer piers that feature pedestrian gates. The entrance is completed with wrought-iron gates.
