22 And 24, Etterby Street

22 and 24 Etterby Street is a building originally constructed as one house in a terrace during the 1830s, now divided into two separate residences. The exterior features roughcast walls set on a chamfered plinth and a graduated greenslate roof, with original brick chimney stacks at both ends and along the ridge. The building has two storeys and three bays. There are steps leading up to a central panelled door with a fanlight, which is framed by a plastered surround that includes a false key and imposts. To the right, there is an inserted 20th-century door that serves as the entrance to No. 22, and beyond that is a doorway leading to a through-passage, both of which are in plain reveals. A 20th-century casement window is present in plain reveals with painted stone sills. The interior has not been inspected. This property is also noted on the 1840 tithe map.
