Description
26 High Street is a building that originally comprised two houses but is now a single residence. It dates from the early 19th century and features a rendered and colourwashed brick exterior. The roof is made of pantiles and has a single gable stack and a single ridge stack. The building is two storeys high and has a four-bay front.
To the right, there is a doorway with a small hood, a reeded doorcase, and a partially glazed door. To the left of this doorway, there is a glazing bar sash window with a segmental head. Beyond this doorway, there is another entrance with a small hood supported by large columns with plain capitals, a rectangular overlight, and a partially glazed door. To the left of this entrance, there is another glazing bar sash window with a segmental head. On the upper floor, there are four glazing bar sashes, with those above the doors being narrower.
