Description
Bell Cottage is a pair of houses, now functioning as a single dwelling, dated 1805 and converted in the 20th century. The building is constructed of colourwashed brick and features a pantiled roof, although the stacks have been removed.
The exterior is two stories high with a two-window range. The entrance is located on the east front, accessed through a six-panelled door set to the left, which is framed by a reeded surround. In the center of the facade, there is one six-over-six unhorned sash window, and to the right, a late 20th-century plate-glass arched window has replaced a former door. On the first floor, there are two six-over-six unhorned sashes above a date plaque. The building has a dentil eaves cornice. The south gable is finished with snowcem rendering and features four late 20th-century casement windows at intervals. There is a full-height rear outshut. The interior has not been inspected.
