Description
Aldeburgh Pharmacy is a shop built in the mid-19th century. It features colourwashed brick and a slate roof with a truncated internal gable end stack on the north side. The building is two stories high with a three-window front. The ground floor includes a large 19th-century plate-glass shop front on the left, which has a central entrance framed by paired Ionic pilasters and a moulded fascia board. On the right, there is a full-height canted bay window with horned sashes that do not have glazing bars on the ground floor, while the first floor has sashes arranged in the pattern of 1/1, 2/2, and 1/1. To the left of the first floor, there is one 8/8 horned sash and a blind window in the centre. A platband at the eaves is located below a crenellated parapet. Inside, the north and south walls feature large arched cupboards with 19th-century shelving, along with two smaller arched cupboards on the south wall.
