Hotel, now offices. Early C19, altered in C20. Brick, stuccoed and rusticated on ground floor, plastered and colourwashed to upper floors: slate roof with internal gable end stack to south, corresponding north stack removed. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 5-window range. Central 6-panelled door under 11-vaned boarded fanlight beneath portico porch on Tuscan columns carrying deep semicircular hood with panelled soffit. Two 6/6 unhorned sashes under gauged skewback arches to right and left, those at outer ends smaller. On first floor, oval light with glazing bars over porch, three 3/6 unhorned sashes to left, and blind window to right end. Five 3/3 unhorned sashes to second floor. Moulded string courses to first and second floors. INTERIOR: stick-baluster staircase with ramped handrail and octagonal newel posts rises to first floor: upper flights replaced. Several minor timber fire surrounds.
