Description

No. 28 High Street is a house dating from the early 19th century, with later 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of rendered and colourwashed brick and features a hipped concrete tiled roof with four tall hip stacks. The building has two storeys and a three-bay front, with a narrow band at the first floor. The central doorway is adorned with a small hood, a reeded doorcase, a fanlight, and a panelled door. On either side of the doorway are later 19th-century splayed bay windows, which have plain central sashes and narrower flanking sashes, divided by pilasters. The house also includes three glazing bar sashes. This property is included for its group value.
