Description
14 and 16 Etterby Street are two houses that form part of a terrace built in the 1830s, with some later alterations. They feature painted stucco walls sitting on a chamfered plinth. The house at No. 14 has a graduated greenslate roof, while No. 16 has a Welsh slate roof, both with original end brick chimney stacks. Each house is two storeys high and has two bays. The central entrance consists of double doors set within a plain segmental carriage arch, flanked by panelled doors with fanlights in pilastered surrounds, complete with false keys and imposts. There are inserted canted bay windows, and above them, sash windows in plain reveals with painted stone sills. The interiors have not been inspected. These properties are also shown on the 1840 tithe map.
