Description
Nene Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with some mid-20th century alterations. It is built of regularly coursed limestone and has a thatched roof. The original design features a two-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic. The front has a two-window range of casements with glazing bars, set under wooden lintels. There are similar casements under eyebrow dormers in the attic. To the right, there is a plank door also under a wooden lintel, and a brick and stone stack is located at the end of the building. A two-window range was added to the left in the mid-20th century, designed in a similar style. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have ceiling beams. The building is included for its group value.
