Description

Shangrila is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed limestone and features a thatched roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall. The front has a three-window range of tall leaded casements, which are set beneath eyebrow dormers. The ground floor casements have glazing bars and are topped with wood lintels, although the leftmost one is from the 20th century. In the centre, there is a 19th-century four-panel part-glazed door. The house has ashlar gable parapets and ashlar stacks with moulded cornices at both ends. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have spine beams and the remains of an open fireplace in the room to the left of the entrance.
