WADENHOE CHURCH STREET (South side) The Kings Head Public House and attached outbuilding

Public house. Probably C17 origins, mainly mid C18 and mid C19. Regular coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys. 2-window range of C19 casements, under wood lintels, at ground floor. First floor window to centre is under Lincolnshire eaves dormer. Central C19 part-glazed door under C20 hood. Cellar door to right. Remains of raised plinth. Ashlar gable parapets to right. Brick and stone stacks at ends. Mid/late C18 outbuilding with pantile roof is attached to right, with blank wall to road. Right gable has evidence of raising to rear side. C19 lean-to extension to rear. Interior has remains of open fireplace with bressumer.
