Description
No. 33 Church Street is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-18th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed limestone and features a thatched roof. The building has a three-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic. The façade includes a three-window range of 20th-century leaded casements set beneath original wooden lintels. There are similar casements located under eyebrow dormers in the attic above. To the right of the centre, there is a 20th-century plank door, also positioned under a wooden lintel. The house retains remains of ashlar gable parapets, which were restored in the 20th century, along with brick stacks at the ridge and ends. The right gable shows evidence of an earlier roof pitch. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to have ceiling beams and remnants of an open fireplace.
