Description
31 and 32 Church Street are two houses dating from the early to mid-18th century. They are constructed from regularly coursed limestone and feature pantile roofs. Originally designed with two-unit plans, the houses are single storey with attics. Together, they form an irregular five-window range that includes 19th and 20th-century casements, some of which have glazing bars, all set beneath wooden lintels. There are six Lincolnshire dormers in the attic, which have similar casements, with one leaded casement located to the right of the center. Between the window ranges, there are two 19th-century plank doors also under wooden lintels. The houses have a raised plinth and brick stacks at the ridge and ends. There are 20th-century single-storey extensions at the rear. Although the interiors were not inspected, they are noted to have remains of open fireplaces.
