Stables And Store C5M East Of Duckleston Mill

Stables and store located approximately 5 meters east of Duckleston Mill, built in the 19th century. The structure features coursed squared and dressed limestone, along with some limestone rubble that indicates the rebuilding of an earlier building. The roofs are made of thin stone, slate, and artificial stone slate. Both buildings are rectangular in shape and have lofts connected at the gable ends. The store has a loft above it, with two open bays separated by a single square stone-built pier in the south gable end. There is a stable door in the side wall, and the stable to the left has a loft above it, featuring a stable door and a plank door on the ground floor. The left-hand door has a thumb latch with a heart-shaped attachment. A pitching window is present above the loft, and steps on the right gable end provide access to the lofts of both buildings.
