Description

The barn and stable complex, located 10 meters west of Mill Hill Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th to early 19th century for the barn, with the rest of the structure built in the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring a stone slate roof on the pitch facing the road, while the other sections have a concrete tile roof. The barn includes an ashlar stack and is arranged in a 'U'-shaped plan with the barn positioned on the south side. There is a rendered 20th-century lean-to on the north side of the yard, which is not of special interest.

The barn has double doors set back within a lean-to porch, located off-centre to the right on the south side. There are steps leading up to double part-glazed doors on the left side of the porch. To the right of the porch, there is a small 20th-century double-width opening with a concrete lintel. The first floor features two 3-light wood-mullioned casements. Additionally, there are double plank doors leading to an extension on the right side of the barn. The gable ends of the barn have flat coping, and the left gable end includes an ashlar stack. The remainder of the range has segmental-headed 2-light casements with glazing bars and segmental-headed doorways.
