Description

A barn, dating from the 19th century, is located at Tally Ho Farm. The barn is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone with a corrugated iron roof. It has a rectangular plan, with a central projecting porch and rectangular plan extensions to the left and right. An open-fronted lean-to is situated to the left of the projecting porch, alongside an open-fronted store and 20th-century wood stabling running forwards to the far left. The main body of the barn has double doors to the entrance porch, with a blocked window above. A similar double door is situated opposite. An extension to the left has a single-width door, and an upper-right pitching door is blocked. A stable door and two 20th-century windows are located to the left of the same extension. Former tallet steps lead up to a doorway, with a pitching window to the left of the doorway, a 20th-century window with glazing bars to the right, and two double doors lower right. Inside, the barn has five bays and an original collar and truss roof.
