Description
The building is a barn with an attached stable and outbuilding, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone, with ashlar quoins at the porches, and features a stone slate roof on the barn and replacement tiles on the stable. The barn is likely a nine-bay structure with two porches on the east side, and the stable and outbuilding are attached at the south end.
On the east side, there are two projecting gabled porches, each featuring a timber lintel and 20th-century doors. The barn has four slit vents, with two located between the porches. Stone steps lead to a loft over the stable on the left, which has a single central casement window to the left of a plank loft door. There are two stable doorways below; one is blocked, while the other has a partially glazed door, both with timber lintels. The lower attached outbuilding to the left has a doorway with a small casement window to the left. A lean-to structure is present at the north end.
On the west side, there are no porches, but doorways with timber lintels are positioned to correspond with the porches on the east side. The left doorway has plank doors, while the right has 20th-century sliding doors. Slit vents are also present on this side. The interior has not been inspected. This long and imposing barn is part of a group with the farmhouse and another barn to the north.
