HELMDON WAPPENHAM ROAD (North side) Barn, stable and attached outbuildings to SW of Home Farmhouse

Barn. Late C18. Coursed limestone rubble, slate roof. 6 bays. Opposed doorways to right of centre, partly filled with brickwork to rear and timber partition to front, flanked by ventilation slits, stable door to left of centre, similar door to far left, ventilation slit above and square loft door above to right, all with timber lintels. Stone-coped gable to left with kneelers. Lower 2-bay extension to left with stone slate roof, double-leaf doors and small square window to left, both with timber lintels. Attached outbuilding to right with two plank doors to left, a similar door to centre, small loft door above, double-leaf doors to right of centre and plank door to right, all with timber lintels. Cupola with pyramidal roof to left. Interior: barn and stable are divided by wall to middle but are apparently all of one build with tie bead collar-truss roof. Outbuilding to right has pigeon-house with full set of nestings in left half. Included for group value.
