Description

This building is a barn and attached stable, located about 25 metres southeast of Manor Farmhouse. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and has undergone some alterations. The structure is built of rubble with stone dressings and features a slate roof with raised coped verges, kneelers, and finials on the gables. The barn is arranged in an L-plan with the stable.

The front of the barn has a high gabled cart entry with a timber lintel above double doors, and there is a triangular set of blocked pigeon holes in the gable. There are stone lean-tos on both the right and left sides, each covered with corrugated iron roofs, with a door on the left and a door and window on the right. The left side has ventilation slits and an owlhole, along with an attached lean-to that has a slate roof, and a 20th-century addition to the left.

On the right side, there is a single-storey, four-bay stable attached, featuring a door and a two-light fixed light on each side, with a roof construction similar to that of the barn. The rear of the barn has a repeated cart entry with a pitched roof made of corrugated asbestos, a contemporary lean-to on the left, and a 20th-century addition on the right. To the far left, there is a 20th-century cart entry with a loading door above. The interiors have not been inspected.
