Description
The barn at Manor Farm is a large structure, likely built in the late 18th century, with a stable attached to the south. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a stone slate roof. On the west side, there is a large raking entry with dressed quoins and an original timber lintel. This opening has been partially filled with stone walling to create a small doorway, also with a timber lintel. To the right, there is a small lean-to. The barn has an opposed projecting gabled cart entry with a timber lintel and double doors. It consists of seven bays supported by collar and tie-beam trusses, and there are slit vents on the north side along with scattered square vents. The east side includes a lean-to with a double Roman tile roof on both sides of the gabled cart entry. The stable at the south end has a loft and is gabled to the left on the south side, featuring small openings with stone lintels. Stone steps lead up to the loft on the east side, which is partly supported by a brick wall and has a kennel hole below. There is a door on the west corner and a sliding door to the south.
