Description

Manor Farmhouse is a large farmhouse, likely dating from the early 18th century, with an extension added in the early 19th century. It is constructed of random coursed rubble stone with a stone slate roof and stone stacks, one at the right end and another on the ridge towards the left. The house comprises two ranges, with the right-hand rear range set at a right angle to the main building. The front elevation has three windows, with three-light wooden casements featuring large, flush stone lintels. The ground floor includes a large timber lintel above a 20th-century glazed double door with a single light to the left, and two wide six-pane sashes on either side. A projecting gabled ashlar porch with a large stone lintel and keystone provides access via two steps, leading to a half-glazed 19th-century door with coloured margin glazing at the rear. Internal shutters are visible on the ground floor. The left-hand return of the rear range features a plinth, quoins, and two sashes to each floor, with quoin surrounds and keystones—flush on the first floor and slightly raised on the ground floor. A rear external stack has decorative flues. The interior has not been inspected.
