Description
Pendle is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th century, which underwent restoration in the late 20th century. It is constructed of random coursed rubble stone and features a stone slate roof with a restored stone ridge stack that has an offset and moulded cornice. The cottage has a single front range and a new small single-storey range added to the north, which includes a lateral stone stack. There is also a very large 'T'-shaped addition to the rear from the 20th century, although this is not considered to be of special interest. The main range is one storey with an attic and has three gabled dormers along the eaves, each with paired leaded casements and tile-hung gables, with a 20th-century insertion to the left. The ground floor has three similar windows, with the one to the right, situated between the original gabled dormers, likely being the original location of the door. The entrance to the cottage is now located at the rear. The building is included for its group value.
