Description
Camp Barn is a stable, two open-fronted sheds, and a barn built in the mid-18th century, with later alterations. The structure is made of limestone rubble with stone dressings and features long and short quoins, topped with double Roman tiled roofs. The north front of the barn has a central door with a timber lintel and a loading door situated under the eaves. The right side has three pigeon holes with perches, while the left side includes an owlhole, and there are no openings at the rear. The interior is not accessible.
To the right, there is an attached shelter shed that has a door under the eaves, five open bays supported by wide piers at the rear, and an unglazed window with a timber lintel on the left. The roof of this shed features principal rafters, two rows of purlins, a ridge purlin, and a plated yoke.
On the left side of the barn, there is a similar two-bay open-fronted shed. Further to the left, there is a stable or byre at the rear, which has a door with a stone lintel and a loading door on the left side. This structure has a similar roof construction to the sheds, with three rows of purlins.
