Description
Field View is a 17th-century house constructed from coursed limestone rubble, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. It features a stone end stack on the left, with brick ridge and right end stacks set on stone bases. The building has a two-unit plan with a later one-unit addition and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a three-window range.
The entrance is marked by a four-panel part-glazed door located to the left of the centre, which is framed by a timber lintel and sheltered by a 20th-century porch. To the right of the door is a small one-light window, followed by a two-light casement on the far right, and a three-light casement to the left. The first floor includes small two-light casements in the centre and to the right, and a small three-light casement to the left, all featuring stop-chamfered timber lintels. The building is accentuated by quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers.
Inside, the property has chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer.
