Description
Cross Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage constructed from coursed limestone rubble, topped with a straw thatch roof and featuring a brick end stack on the right. The building has a two-unit plan and is two stories high with a two-window range. There is a small rectangular window on the left and another rectangular window on the right, both of which have timber lintels. The entrance is located at the rear. A former single-storey outbuilding on the right was raised a storey and incorporated into the house in the 20th century. Inside, the cottage has chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace with a stop-chamfered cambered bressumer, along with a collar truss roof.
