Description

The building is a row of four houses and an attached village hall, constructed in the mid-19th century in the Tudor revival style. It features random rubble limestone with ashlar dressings, ashlar chimneys, and a stone slate roof. The row is two stories high with an attic, and there is a single-storey forward projection for No 3. The village hall projects forward from Nos 11 and 13.

The front elevation, described from left to right, shows that Nos 3 and 7 have lower eaves and two parapet-gabled attic dormers, each with a single-light casement that has a three-centred arched head and a hoodmould. The lower fenestration is generally two-light, with a matching three-centred arched head for the glazed doorway to No 3. There is a gable facing the road on the projection to the left of No 3. Two ridge-mounted chimneys with paired diagonal shafts are present. The right half of No 7 has plain 19th-century casements with timber or concrete lintels.

Nos 11 and 13 are taller, featuring two parapet-gabled attic dormers similar to those on Nos 3 and 7. Their fenestration is otherwise consistent with the earlier houses. Each end of the taller block has a chimney with paired diagonal shafts.

The village hall, attached to the right of No 11, has two parapet gables facing the road, each with a two-light mullioned casement. It includes a central projecting gabled porch and two two-light casements on the south side. There are various outshuts at the rear of the row. The overall composition is picturesque. The interior has not been inspected.
